Amnesty International’s The Secret Policeman’s Ball was well known in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, initially as a live comedy event that later also involved musicians and actors. The Ball is primarily an awareness-raiser for Amnesty International and then also a fundraising event. Maria Forte Music Services worked with Amnesty on the re-emerged Balls in 2006 and 2008 held at The Royal Albert Hall, London and then in 2012 for the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

This involved working closely with the Amnesty Secret Policeman’s Ball Team to track, identify and subsequently clear the music use and other rights used in the Ball for the night of the show and then also following that through the chosen media channels after the event. Each show had a stellar line up of comedians, musicians, actors and celebrities, providing stand-up comedy, sketches, musical performances and videos.
